Valkotakit on vuonna 1969 perustettu L\u00e4\u00e4ketieteenkandidaattiseuran sinfoniaorkesteri. J\u00e4senist\u00f6mme koostuu p\u00e4\u00e4asiassa Helsingin yliopiston l\u00e4\u00e4ketieteellisen tiedekunnan opiskelijoista, jo valmistuneista l\u00e4\u00e4k\u00e4reist\u00e4 ja hammasl\u00e4\u00e4k\u00e4reist\u00e4, mutta joukossamme viihtyv\u00e4t hyvin my\u00f6s muiden alojen edustajat. Valkotakeissa soittaa esimerkiksi oikeustieteilij\u00f6it\u00e4, ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6tieteilij\u00f6it\u00e4, diplomi-insin\u00f6\u00f6rej\u00e4, sek\u00e4 ammattimuusikoita. Emme edellyt\u00e4 soittajiltamme mink\u00e4\u00e4nlaista l\u00e4\u00e4ketieteellist\u00e4 tai musiikillista koulutusta.<\/p>\n

Valkotakkien kapellimestarina toimii Tapio von Boehm. Aikaisemmin Valkotakkeja ovat johtaneet muun muassa Lauri Ahokas, Samppa Leino, Juuso Wallin, Jorma Panula, Kalle Hassinen, Jukka Iisakkila ja Martti Vuorinen.<\/p>\n

J\u00e4rjest\u00e4mme vuosittain 2\u20133 suurempaa konserttia, joiden lis\u00e4ksi soitamme vuosijuhlilla, tiedekunnan publiikissa sek\u00e4 yksityistilaisuuksissa. Ohjelmistomme on laaja ja koostumus kirjava. Sovitukset tilanteen ja soittajiston mukaan r\u00e4\u00e4t\u00e4l\u00f6i kapellimestarimme tai kvartettimme. T\u00e4ll\u00e4 takaamme sen, ett\u00e4 ohjelmisto on aina mielek\u00e4st\u00e4 niin kuulijalle kuin soittajallekin.<\/p>\n

Harjoittelemme tiistaisin klo 17.45\u201320 Meilahdessa Haartman-instituutissa osoitteessa Haartmaninkatu 3. Vuoden 2026 kev\u00e4tkausi alkaa tiistaina 27.1. klo 17.45<\/strong>. Jos haluat mukaan toimintaamme (ja kukapa ei haluaisi), tule k\u00e4ym\u00e4\u00e4n harjoituksissamme tai ota yhteytt\u00e4 puheenjohtajaamme ja kysy lis\u00e4\u00e4. Tervetuloa kaikki puhaltajat, sek\u00e4 ly\u00f6m\u00e4- ja jousisoittajat!<\/p>\n

Seuraava konsertti on lauantaina<\/strong> 25.4.2026 klo 18.30 Temppeliaukion kirkossa<\/strong>. Ohjelmassa on Dvo\u0159\u00e1kin viulukonsertto sek\u00e4 T\u0161aikovskin sinfonia nro 3. Konserttia johtaa Tapio von Boehm, ja solistina on huippuviulisti Tami Pohjola. Tervetuloa konserttiin!<\/p>\n

IN ENGLISH<\/strong>:<\/em> Valkotakit is the symphony orchestra of School of Medicine of University of Helsinki. We rehearse every Tuesday in Haartman Institute in Helsinki (Haartmaninkatu 3), from 6 pm to 8 pm.\u00a0 Our next concert is on Saturday 25th of April 2026 at 18.30 at Temppeliaukio Church<\/strong>. We will be playing the Violin Concerto by Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k and Symphony No. 3 by Tchaikovsky. You do not need to be a medical student to participate, so in case you are interested in joining us, you can ask more from our President. The practice period starts on Tuesday 27th of January at 17.45<\/strong>. <\/a>All symphony orchestra instruments are welcome!<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n
